State of the Nation Address of The President of the Philippines 2014

State of the Nation Address of The President of the Philippines 2014

President Benigno Simeoun Aquino III delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address SONA 2014. It is common that every SONA, the President always make promises that's why many Filipinos were very interested to witness the deliveration of our President's State of the Nation Address, but many also beleive that to hear it is just nonsense because they beleive that promises will just remain as a promise.

SONA 2014 highlights the achievements of the government specifically on education, social services, economy, improvements, infrastructures, calamity efforts, jobs, rehabilitation after calamities or disasters, modernization of AFP, security and livelihood. PNoy shared the expenses of the government for the improvement of our country, the Philippines. He also thanked peoples or citizens who have done great in our country. Aquino also said that AFP modernization will continue as the government is targeting to acquire more aircraft and radar system. He also mentioned that the State is taking care of the needs of the police. And that thtey are matching this support with efficient and upright service. According to PNoy, the poverty incidence went down to 24.9% in the first quarter of 2013. Aquino takes pride in the holding of the World Economic Forum in Manila recently. PNoy said that the budget for infrastructure has more than double on which he mentioned the natinal roads or the major infrastructures being done. Hiws action items for the next months or years include Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike bidding by end of2014, Open Alternative Roads to EDSA, Opening of the Palawan Busuanga Airport, Push Bangsamoro Basic Law, Ensure enough supply of power to meet the growing energy demand, 2.606 trillion for 2015 National Budget and many more.

We cannot assure that all his promises willi be achieved, but we have to give to our President the trust that he need to implement his projects. Maybe he is not a perfect leader in our country, we have to beleive on him and with the hands of our Almighty God, There is Hope.
