"Kalamidad paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan"

"Kalamidad paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan"

We experienced lots of calamities and disasters and will surely continue interrupting our behaviour if we don't start resolving it and find the best solution. Now, the big question is, How can this be possible to resolve? what can be the best solution or remedy? Is nutritionally prepared community or people enough to be the solution?

Nutrition emergencies refer to situations in which food security is of severely threatened causing increased risk to malnutrition, illness and even death. It is very important nowadays to increase awareness and higher level of preparedness which can be achieved through the prevention of hunger and worsening of malnutrition during calamities like floods, landslides, etc. Moreover, developing an attitude of  an always ready citizen especially among the hazard prone areas in the country is a great help during disasters. Eating nutritious foods like vegetables, fruits and drinking lots of water may help us to be more strong to face every calamities that comes our way, so we have to keep ourselves physically fit. Preparedness, response and recovery can be promoted through maintaining ourselves healthy all the time. So, we have to prevent malnutrition and lowering of nutritional for us to be ready in times of emergencies or disasters. It is believed that underpinning nutrition awareness is a great key to prepare and efficienly respond to Nutrition in Emergencies.

So we have to open our eyes and be healthy to be prepared in times of calamities. So lets aim for success.

                                                                                                                  Ilocos Sur
                                                                                                                  June 30,2014

President Benigno Simeon Aquino III
MalacaƱang Palace
Manila, Philippines

Mr. President:

Greetings! "Every nation has the government it deserves, every Filipino's has its own need. You can only govern men by serving them but the rule is without exception". Mr. President, I praise and adore you because you prove yourself in the whole Philippines. Many judgement tested your strength. Some people were insulting you but lots of people were also supporting you.
In four years of serving the entire Philippines, I can say that you have done your part to us but to be honest Sir, I'm not tat contented with your service. I'm sorry to say tht Sir but I guessed that I have the authority to speak and express myself. I I wrote this letter not as a student but as a citizen. I just wanna share the problems of our country according to my own observation. First one Sir is that many Filipinos even professionals are working abroad, not because they want to but they need. They need to go there for a good opportunity, for a bigger salary which we can't give to them. Even if they don't want to leave their loved ones here, they need to sacrifice and go abroad to support their financial need. The second one Sir: Poverty, many Filipinos especially childrens don't eat food(nutricious and clean food) thrice a day, not even drinking even a glass of clean water. No clothes to wearand no medicines to take whenever they are in sick. Our government can't fully help them, even just a simple work to get an extra income, they can't give. I can't even imagine how they exist in this world with this kind of situation. The third one Sir: Crime or Justice, many eyes were blind, many ears can't hear and many mouth can't speak when it comes to crime or justice. Many were just pretending that they were not able to see the crime because many were afraid on the possible outcome of telling the truth. Many crimes were happening nowadays, and poverty or financial problem is the common or major cause, I have lots of other things or problems to be disscussed Sir but this letter gets too long and I know that you are a busy  person. I hope you'll understand my purpose in enumerating those problems Sir.
Thank you for reading this simple letter Sir. I hope that we will start moving now to resolve it and built a solution. We have to open up our eyes and face the reality. I know Sir that we can achieve a progressive country with the help of each other and with your leadership. My support is always in you Sir. Thank you for leading the country Sir. I salute you and God bless you always and our country, the Philippines always.

                                                                                                             Respectfully yours,
                                                                                                             George Castillo
